About

tracr.africa is a corporate intelligence platform covering ownership structures, directors, and beneficial owners of companies across Africa.

Purpose

Corporate information in Africa is fragmented, inconsistently published, and often difficult to access. With 54 countries and dozens of separate legal systems, tracing who owns or controls a business can take weeks and can block deals, delay compliance reviews, or derail partnerships entirely.

tracr.africa aggregates and structures corporate registry data, beneficial ownership disclosures, sanctions lists, and public filings into clean, searchable profiles built for compliance teams, KYC analysts, financial institutions, and anyone conducting due diligence on African entities.

Data sources

Data is sourced from official national business registries, gazette publications, stock exchange filings, GLEIF, and international sanctions lists (OFAC, EU, UN). Entries can be submitted via the Add entry form and are reviewed before publication.

Coverage

We aim to cover all 54 African countries. Depth varies by market. Check the Countries page for current statistics.
